How OXYGRO Equipment Fits This Crop
Vine crops such as tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers and courgettes stay in the same substrate for 10 to 12 months. The root zone has to stay airy and stable for that long, and feeding has to stay precise through the whole season.
Substrate. The Tropical Design Mix pairs 60% double-sieved cocopith with 40% coco chips. It has an EC below 0.5 mS/cm and a pH of 5.8–6.5, and comes as 100 cm growbags or 5 kg grow slabs with dripper and drain holes cut to order. Hot and cold versions of the mix are also available.
Feeding. JET Inline injects fertiliser on the mainline at 15 or 32 m³/h. OXYGRO-Inline handles 30 to 65 m³/h and blends disinfected drain water back into the feed.
Drain water. The ASEPTICER is built for soilless crops, tomatoes among them. It disinfects drain water with 1000 W UV lamps before reuse.
Measuring. Plant Scale-I weighs a run of growbags or grow slabs on a 2500 × 210 mm tray. It tracks transpiration, drainage and supply and return EC/pH, so irrigation follows the crop.
